DOD 440 Envelope Filter built on Jubal81 layout.

Great sounding filter, i had to play one of those to satisfy my filter whoreness, does sound really good on cleans, very easy to dial in that kwaky funk sound.

It seems to prefer low output pickups tho, i get some sizzling with my hotter guitars, will have to try some stuff to make it work to my taste.

Clean as always :) One day you're going to build a Meatball and be blown away, though ;)

Nice.  I like Jason's layout, too.

One of my early PCB designs was one of these but it was a fail.  Might have to re-visit it.

Dude, that's a feature, not a bug.

I'm resisting the urge to post the Robin Sparkles video again after re-seeing "440 Sparkles."

I am also interested in a pcb if you have one spare.

Digging the blue and black. Great job Rej.

I never could get the 440 circuit where I wanted it. Always sounded to me like the filter was "about" to open. Way to subtle. Maybe it's time to revisit it.

Rej, how do you compare it to the Kraken?

Hogharry

You really should buy some better paint Rej - the top of the enclosure has got scuffed already!  ;D

Clean inside, Grindyfied outside. Great build as usual.
...and then of course I've got this terrible pain in all the diodes down my left hand side...

Thanks guys! :)

The Kraken still wins it on top of the 440 for me right now...

First, it have no problem with high output pickups (insert Midway face here  :P )
Second, it is less subtle or you can simply dial in how aggressive you want it to cut through
Third, the Kraken cuts better through dirt, nothing subtle here, though... on the downside it's mostly dark sounding on cleans where the 440 is very clean and it's what i dig about it.
