Making a GGG-Tuned Muff more Pharaoh-like?

I have a GGG tuned muff/aka bluebeard muff for bass that I just don't care for. It's too overdrivey and gainey for me and I can't quite get the sound I'm going for. I also have a Pharaoh clone that I love for the softer/thicker/fuzzier sound. More sustain would be nice too.

I would like to mod my GGG tuned to get closer to that Pharaoh sound.

Any suggestions? I'm working through your post to get some specific ideas, but if you can think of anything off the cuff, please let me know. Remember, it's for bass guitar.

I'll def use some germanium clipping diodes and will put in a higher value for the emitter resistors. What else?

Ben (Rullywow) has a Pharoah board available for sale on his site.

juansolo's got a comprehensive Muff value list on his site which lists the component changes for a Pharoah mod off the Mudbunny.

Pretty sure the Mudbunny doc has bass values in it.

Any combination of the above should get you what you need.
The only known cure in the world for GAS is death.  That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

I've got a mudbunny board, so that's why I want to use that... didn't realize that juansolo had the pharaoh values on his spreadsheet... that makes it easy!
