Here's the big cap and for the diode i've found this one in a local supplier. It's a 1N60 black glass Ge Fv is 0.228v
And for the sound, this is the first compressor i build and play so ... but my strat seems like it.

I have mine populated for some time now the only thing missing is the frickin vactrol I ordered it yesterday.
Yeah I bet this is great with a strat!

I finally found one here in the states also.. cost me about $10. Wish you can see me hang my head in disgust right now. lol

Yes, musikding has dropped their international shipping rates. i got mine there as well. Maybe it would have been a good idea to include it in the group buy.

Ok  . Thats why I mounted the small parts on the bottom and the cap on top as shown in the instructions.
Good job anyhow.

Yeah, the bigger cap on top could'nt fit the box (1590B) on mine so i go that route.
Note the pots has been soldered a little bit inclined to leaving the cap breathing.
Its ok, like that the cap even not touching the case !
