Choosing solder

I prefer the 63/37 rosin to the no clean, but personal preference factors heavily here.

For the flux pen, I feel more strongly as I consider the Kester no-clean flux pen (951, I think) to be nearly useless and the RMA version (186) to be quite effective.  I have both, but avoid the 951 usually.
