Hi everybody!
I just made an order of material for my Boneyard.
I've ordered this ICL7660S:
http://www.musikding.de/ICL7660S_1
They say that it is compatible with "Max1044".
So the question is..
With this ICL7660S I've to use a normal 9V external power suply or a 12V?

And musikding says " Can multiply your voltage to make 18V out of a 9V battery ".
Why 18V?
"MAX1044" must converts 9v to 12v
So with MAX1044 or TC1044SCPA  the internal volts must to be 12v?
or..am I wrong?

Thanks for your patience
and sorry for my english
Andrea

The Boneyard use an internal charge pump like the MAX1044/TC7660S/ICL7660S.

What the charge pump does is convert your 9V DC input into 18V for greater headroom and dynamic in some circuit.

Simply use your standard 9V supply for that circuit and everything will be fine.

Thank you!clear..
So the real plexitone has 18v internally?

I don't know if it has one in the stock pedal. If Madbean put one in there it's because it was meant to be.

Just to add to the conversation....

NO charge pump is going to provide 18V from a 9V source if used properly. You WILL lose some power due to diode drops, leakage, etc. You can expect to see more like 17V on the output.

Ok understood.
So I'll use the LF347 and the ICL7660S with 9v external supply and everything will be fine
and with an internal voltage about 17v :-)
thanks to all  ;)
