Upper decker Mods

Hi guys, has anyone tried (or found) some mods to the Upper decker? I was thinking of replacing the ICs, trying some different clipping diodes (maybe some Germanium once, to give the pedal just a bit of fuzzy sound, but not too much...)... I was thinking also to add a SND/RTN loop right between the EQ Baxandall section and the first clipping section.
It could be interesting to put pedals like phasers (or any modulation one) in this loop... Do you think it could be a good mod?

There was a version with a built in noise gate in one of the threads.
I built it stock.  I wouldn't change a thing:)
