Working on Haberdasher's A/DA Flanger clone.  Just want to get it populated enough to see what I need to order  ;)

Shoot the Moon Tremolo Build (Orange clear LED works the best so far for max tremoloness) - need to box

Orange LED and Tayda LDR work really well in there. Then there are the Rej mods, and I quote:

C250K pot for speed.
B500K wave (instead of switch)

Also before the depth pot
there's a 330R or 470R resistor i believe
socket that place first
depending of the LDR...

and if you have 6u8 caps
go for it instead of 10uf timing
Fasssssttttter!
with the C250K and reduced timing cap
it's plain killer
super slow speed and super high speed

It's all good! We did all that for the one in the Alice (vol is inside on a trimmer) and it's super choppy if you need it to be.

That's awesome information.  I actually did use a Tayda LDR and the 3mm clear orange LED was the best so far.  I used a yellow at first, then a purple, and was playing around with some blutak over the assembly.  When I took the blutak off (exposed to the desk light), the signal was way stronger so I knew that some improvements could be achieved.  I will try the other suggestions you put in there... it's a great sounding circuit.

I'm inspired to make a Tap Tempo PCB version using Harold Sabro's ATtiny85 chip.  The Tap Tremolo I have a PCB for is based off the Tremulus Lune, but i'm sure the STM one will also kick some serious ass.

We've found that Tayda LDRs favour orange & red LEDs. I think we used an orange on the STM2 and a red on the Machette. Both 5mm diffuse ones and roll-your-own stylie in black heat shrink.

Rapid LDRs like green LEDs.

Lots of stuff on the bench.  Good times.  So much soldering lately that my tip on the iron needs replacing...switched to another stubby backup and have a new ETS on order for the Weller WESD51.

Pedal building is like the opposite of sex.  All the fun stuff happens before you get in the box.

Populating a Sunking board, performing long overdue set-ups on a couple of my axes, and working on putting in some mix time on my bands record. You know typical red blooded american weekend type shit!
Wake up and smell the noise!!

Populating an Equinox II, and rocking a Boneyard, both Haberdasher etches.

I also need to strip back and refinish a box for a friend who wants a boost pedal (I've rocked the vero, all good).

Trouble shooting Lace's DoubelGanger. It's  been a PITA so far but haven't had enough time to relax and get into the hyper focus zone. The off-board wiring is a bit convoluted. So mainly I'm going to enjoy some Gentleman Jack with a beer back,  and conquer or destroy this beast.

My ADHD list:
I have a Pork Barrel that needs boxing,
1 Colosulus that needs boxing,  (ready to drill but the freaking shop light burnt out over my drillpress..)
2 GPCB Fuzz Face's that need boxing
1 GPCB Zenith that needs boxing
1 GPCB Capt Munch that needs boxing and
3 optical compressors I need to box....
Oh and a Sho Nuff that I am going to put into a tiny desktop box I found.. very impractical and funny.
I really want to build, and I have boards for:
King Slayer
Sunking
2 x Britannia
Space Harp
Just ordered Dudes Celeste Chorus and his new Flintlock Flanger
plus more that I can't remember right now....
I'm going home....... ???

I'll be crossing something from my bucket list.

As you may know I'm a bit of a car nut and I like to drive. We'll I've always wanted to do the Alpine passes and a pair of us have finally decided to bite the bullet and go on a road trip.

Lad I'm going with was recently separated and has decided to do a load of things he always wanted to. So last year he went on the mother of all safaris, this year he took a load of money from the house sale and bought an Aston Martin. He doesn't know if he'll still have it next year (and indeed I don't know if I'll still have the Porsche), so we've bitten the bullet and arranged a 10 day driving holiday.

We've dragged along a couple more mates as navigators (our route is ambitious to say the least). Bearing in mind that all three of the others are keen amateur photographers, expect me to bore you all senseless with my holiday snaps when we're back. Though we're also taking at least one drone along with us also so that could be interesting for some footage of driving up mountains!

So if you're en-route (France-Germany-Austria-Switzerland-Italy) and see a group of grey haired Englishmen noisily bimbling around some back roads, say hi!

That sounds awesome...

I've actually been taking a bit of a break.  I recently finished up a Cosmo and Serendipity, but have stepped away from the bench to actually play more guitar and do some reading.  I've got a couple boards that I'll probably start populating in the next week though.

I've been distracted by a new guitar purchase.  Recently picked up a Melancon P90 artist from a buddy of mine.  Great playing guitar.

That does sound absolutely epic. I would love to see any pics and/or footage.

You could always stage a scripted cross-continental race involving trains and bicycles, in which you and your buddy arrive at your destination mere minutes apart. You could cap it off with a scene where one of you arrives breathless, only to find the other just finishing his brown ale.

Seriously though, that sounds like the drive of a lifetime.

Just cleaned the car, checked all the levels and it's ready to go. Packing tomorrow and on my way on Sunday. Hopefully nipping in to a friends on Sunday who has an epic collection of cars (Ford GT, Ferrari 16M, Porsche 991 GT3, Lamborghini Countach). Mainly to chat about the route and wotnot, but yeah, I want to have a poke around at his cars ;)

I passed a Countach that was parked on the Street on a business trip a couple weeks ago. Couldn't believe how low to the ground it was. I saw them as a kid sometimes, but never really understood them. I think all told, the roof of the car was below my waist. I'm not tall.
