SMT film caps get pricey (especially PPS).  Hopefully, they'll come down in time.

I plan on having a metric truckload of the Panasonics on hand when they go EOL.  Luckily, there aren't that many values.

FWIW, Steve at Small Bear said he was going to stock heavy on them as well.

I am definetly in  for a group buy for the 1uF caps.
I believe the price goes down to 0.192$ per piece if we reach 2000 pcs.

OK, just for anyone ordering these, here's a link for the 1uF caps:
http://www.mouser.com/Search/ProductDetail.aspx?R=ECQ-V1H105JLvirtualkey66720000virtualkey667-ECQ-V1H105JL

I suggest looking at the datasheet, and paying attention to the suffix: "JL" is 50v, bulk packaging. Anything additional will either be "W" for crimped leads, or a number 2,3,5 or 9, for taped packaging. For me, it's more convenient (and compact) to get the bulk package.
(Yes, I've learned the hard way.) :)

this goes for box caps too ... sometimes if I sort by price, the taped leads will be like a cent less, but by the time you get to 100+, the price evens out, but bulk caps are more convenient and take less space.

That is VERY good advice.  It's really good to get in the habit of reading datasheets.

Exactly!  It's "JL" or nothing.

Likewise. Maybe it's a clever marketing ploy... /cynical

I can also vouch for reading the data sheets and getting bulk packaging.

Snipping 100's of capacitors of a tape real is not the most fun way to spend 1/2 an hour  ;D

Incase you are stuck with a tape reel of parts, this is how I separate them.

I do the same. Tin snips can also be used to cut PCBs.

Very nice! What did that end up costing and what quantities did you buy? I'm thinking of doing the same myself. Thanks!

Wow!! Do you have a Mouser BOM for that?
