New Partscaster Day!

This is a Cabronita build made up of parts received in trade for builds I've done.  I'm finding that, if you know enough musicians, pedals can be used as currency, much like cigarettes in prison.

The parts on here are rather nice.  It's made up of:

- Warmoth body with Glendale saddle (not sure about the bridge plate)
- TV Jones pickups
- WD Music Neck
- Gotoh locking Kluson style tuners

Big thanks to Scootercaster, who provided the neck, tuners and awesome headstock waterslide.

As for the guitar, it plays nicely.  The neck is very flat (12" radius), very wide 11/16 and a reasonably deep C shape. Good thing I have large hands.  The satin finish on the neck is particularly nice and fast.

So far, I am really digging the TV Jones pickups.  For clean playing, I really like the neck.  I am surprised at how great the bridge sounds dirty, even at higher gain settings.

Nice.  I picked up a Cab not too long ago on a fire sale.  Gotta say, liking it a whole lot more than I thought.  Might have to try the Jones pickups though.

Lots of cool choices there! Trons are the only type of bucker that's allowed to go in a tele.  ;D

Nice!

And since it's got the company name on the headstock, it's a business expense!  ;D

Since there wasn't any hard currency exchanged, that might prove difficult.   :-)

Very nice, Love that color. My father just picked up the Squier VM cab with the Bigsby and he is in love with it.

Sweet!!  I too am working on a partscaster and hope to have it finished in June. I love me some Filtertrons. I have them on my Gretsch and I just love the tone.

That's very cool looking.  Love the color with the white pickguard.

That's a whole lot of cool - fit for a classy mutha shut-yo-mouth.

The 'cigs in prison' analogy is hilarious.

Nice! I too want to try a Cab sometime soon. Not terribly sold on the colour on that one, but I do like the finish. Looks slick Dave.

Awesome git. Super nice. I dropped my pick when I saw it.  I've been wanting one of those since I first heard one.  Better build up my cigarette stash.
