@sonarchotic: the relay board is such that the in jack is left and out is right. It takes up a lot of space in a 1590b, but I suspect that it would leave room for pots above it in a 125b. I'm gonna try that pretty soon, but I think low profile jacks are the way to go with a top-mounted setup like this.

@jubal81: no bounce problems so far--in fact, it won't abide rapid switching with the values I used (100nF and 220nF caps, 1M resistor).  It's like half a second, which I don't foresee to be a problem but it still seems kind of long.

Here's a shot of the populated relay board. I had made a similar board based on the Wicked Switches circuit, but there was some major tone suck that I attributed to damaged CMOS chips or my ham-fisted SMD soldering and summarily tossed the boards in the garbage. I was pretty bummed that this board had the same tone suck...until I changed to different patch cables. Dangit!
