Couldn't you just use one of the other Tubescreamer-style circuits and use the different values?

I heard it was a kind of 808 on steroids... But did not look much closer. Your idea is interesting and I'm gonig to have a look right now .

A regular TS with an external diode switch is all you need. On/off/On - 1n914's/nothing/RED Leds

So few parts change in there (+ diodes/led switch.)
Not used to do it (beginner), but I'm going to try modding 808's pcb to fit those leds and build a LDO clone.

Really easy, the GGG one already includes diodes/led switching ! Have to include one cap, change three values, redraw PCB, job quite done. If anyone interested ...
