When asked... It's a diode! 

So.


Green band, FV of .271

Looks about the size of a 1n34a
I'll find out later this week, does it clip?

I would say 1n34a or 1n270

Edit: I believe I have a couple of both at home, I will measure them when I get home.

Could be dozens of things. .27V is an extremely common range for germanium diodes.

Probably not a 1N34A. Those are higher, above .3v.

Didn't even think to grab my 1n34a's and check em... They clock in a .260

I think you got it? or not per Jon?

the 1n270's I have are about .680 so defiantly not them and that is suspect as hell for a "germanium" diode isn't it.

The physical size however is correct for either.
