Hello all my name is Emir and I live in Qatar (I'm not THE Emir by the way  ;) ). I've been playing guitar for a while and after staring at fsb.org for an eternity I've decided to dip my toes and try building some of the easier stuff first (the fuzzboxes, eternity, zen drive...) from the pcbs Brian offers here.

I have an account with a courier service (ARAMEX) that receives my orders in the USA and forwards them to me at something like US$10 for a pound of weight. For light stuff like PCBs and components this is excellent, for heavier stuff like enclosures, not so much. But here is my problem...

Sourcing components is going to be a little problematic. I never had trouble ordering from ebay or amazon, but sites like musiciansfriend or newegg will not take foreign credit card transactions even through paypal  >:(. We have a dealer here for RS Components if you've heard of them (they cover middle east/asia/eastern europe with all sortsa stuff), but they're used to high volume orders (I'm pretty cool with the dudes there, but I'd still like to go get a decent BOM once and do a bunch of pedals after that).

I would like to hear your suggestions on what I would require to get started. I have some soldering equipment (25 and 60 watt Goot irons, multimeter, supply of wick and solder). If there's anything else I might require, and where to get enclosures, wire, etc. I appreciate your kind input folks :)

I'm thinking small bear could help you out with what you need.
