Curious if there is a clean 1-octave down project out there? Basically looking for a lowrider minus the up and double octave down options  :)

Any such thing out there?

Thomas_H

There are very few clean octave down.
You may want to look at this http://www.diystompboxes.com/analogalchemy/sch/shocktave.html
Its not totally clean but tracking is very good

Merlin Blencowe's U-boat is the best analog octave down I've ever heard:

Is it possible you're just looking for the Boss Octave pedal? I think they can be had pretty cheap used. They sound great from my recollection. Perhaps there's a schem out there.

No a customer wants a simple one octave down custom build. I am exploring options for him. If not cost effective enough I will recommend he just pick up a boss. thanks.

Yep the Uboat sounds fantastic from what I've heard of it.

I started doing a layout for it, but haven't got round to finishing it yet.

Yes the uboat looks pretty rad. I fabbed pcb would be the shizzle  :D

I am impressed with the uboat as well. Somehow it slipped my attention.
I have some space on my next prototype panel. Lets see if i can shrink it to a decent size.

I did a layout for in Eagle and had some boards fabbed via OSH Park. Still debugging it though...

Pedal building is like the opposite of sex.  All the fun stuff happens before you get in the box.

My try on the U-Boat.
Looking good but it was not easy to fit on a 50mmx50mm board.
Version with true bypass. Will be on my next proto-run.
