Nautilus is warbly..........tremolo like?

When I play a chord and hold it the filter warbles.  It almost sounds as if there is a tremolo effect?  Is this normal?

Does it do it in all settings? or just certain ones? This isn't the most "stable" filter out there. also, thin-slack strings and/or low action can cause a sensitive filter to trigger on each string turnaround. Is it a more constant tremolo sound? or a shut-down sound that moves and closes with the envelope? The former would be weird, the later more normal.
