new old pedal day :)

A buddy of mine is moving to china, and was clearing out some stuff from his father studio (his father passed away a few years back). he asked if I wanted any of his old broker pedals, so of course I said yes.

here is what arrived yesterday:

and

they all need some love. the AD190 (MN3005 inside!) sounds extremely dark even on the dry signal. scratchy pots on everything.

now, I have no intention of selling these, because they belonged to my good friends father. and since i'm not ever going to sell, I plan to update them with a few modern conveniences. IE DC jacks on the beebaa and APII, and roadrage to supply the -9v on the phaser (it runs 2 9v batteries...)

BTW, the phaser is missing a baseplat, if anyone has one perchance?

i certainly shall! they are pretty beat up already though. But i definitely plan to restore them and use them. the BeeBaa in particular sounds much better than I remember the clones I built.

Woooow. Super impressed!

I thought that was an optophaser, though?

Nope, definitely fets - not an opto in sight!

Missed the little Roland logo, sorry, just saw Phaser 2 and thought Mutron.

The delay would be the super expensive one, though. How good is the flanger on it?

I'm no judge since I'm not a huge flanger fan, but it sounds really good. Does a nice vibrato with shallow depth and the clean dialled out...
