Definitely and optical illusion. The Envirotex dries with a bit of curve on the edges, so everything close to the edges looks like it has a little bend. Kind of cool.

For anybody out there who is afraid to try Envirotex it's nowhere as difficult as it sounds. I put it off for months and that was a mistake. I will definitely return to this technique again and again because it's not hard and the results are outstanding.

I just came back from the post office with a nice purple box of Envirotex Lite flown over from UK.
Hopefully I'll give it a go this weekend, I need to get some sort of labeling going on...

What I love about this forum is how willing people are to help one another with new ideas. I'm a Pastor now but worked as an artist for many years and it was so competitive. If anybody came up with something new they kept it hidden because it might give them an edge. It seems like people can't wait to help others here. Very nice.

I think it's the largely nonprofit angle around here -- status is gained partly through presentation skill (aka killer artwork and wirewrangling), but also partly through helping other people, and contributing to the general forum knowledge and circuit-base. Holding back, here, doesn't get you any extra profit (through people wanting your exclusive brush patterns on the canvas).
