Hamlet with Tap Tempo

For a customer in Norway.

I used one of the tiny 4PDT rotaries I found recently for the tempo divisions -- I just left out dotted 16ths, because who uses those? It's a little awkward that the Taptation exceeds the PT2399's specifications, so there's a lot of gurgle at the longest delay time setting. Seems like a good call on Jacob's part to move the tone control external for the Hamlet+.

The art came out a bit more impressionistic than I'd originally planned, but it's cool enough I think. He specified some ripples and a blue case and let me do whatever I wanted otherwise.

Feeling a bit under the weather, Jon? I'm surprised at you, spreading out in a whole 125B ;) :)

Good stuff! Your builds are always impressive -- inside and out :)

NO WAY!

I'm a day away from finishing up MY tap tempo Hamlet. Very cool to see another one verified and rocking... and in such a pretty box. Excellent work Jon!

You tease Jacob.. lol

Great looking build and thanks for the reminder that I have a populated PCB that needs to be boxed up. I may have to try my hand at a tap tempo also. I have yet to implement one in any pedal yet.

That's a lot of functionality in a small space - and beautiful on the outside to boot. Probably my favorite of your paintings.

Speaking of those switches, are they able to be board mounted along side pots?

I don't know why, but I want to hang that on a wall and stare at it contemplatedly (not a word, but should be), occasionally emitting an 'ummm' and a knowing nod.

They're a little taller than 16mm pots with covers, but only a millimeter or two. In this case it was a few extra millimeters because I had the leads bent over and sticking up a bit.

I'd want to dry fit them with full-height electrolytics before I try to get something using them in a 1590B.

Thanks for the kind words about the painting. It's always good to know that any given piece of art strikes a chord with someone. :)
