Tc1044s same as tc1044spca???

I've recently put together a kingslayer and am having a very bizarre issue. Everything works as it should an I'm wondering if the tc1044scpa I used is slightly different than the tc1044s? Not a ton of info inline. Thanks guys

Thanks Jacob. I had actually mis-spoken (mis-written?). I was working on two projects at the same time and one called for the 1044s an the other 1044spca. The kingslayer called for the SPCA anyway. Duh! Thanks again!

TC1044S is the model of the chip.  The 3 letters that follow indicate specifics about the packaging and its thermal limits. here's a cut and paste from the datasheet showing what the trailing letters represent:

TC1044SCOA    8-Pin     SOIC          0°C to +70°C
TC1044SCPA     8-Pin     Plastic DIP 0°C to +70°C
TC1044SEOA     8-Pin    SOIC         – 40°C to +85°C
TC1044SEPA     8-Pin     Plastic DIP – 40°C to +85°C
TC1044SIJA      8-Pin     CerDIP      – 25°C to +85°C
TC1044SMJA     8-Pin     CerDIP     – 55°C to +125°C

You could also use the SEOA  variant if you wanted to, but most guitarists don't play their gear in sub zero degrees
