Late present just arrived.  Finally got my own copy of the Art of Electronics.  Very pleased about that.

Nice, always wanted a copy, but I'm not in love with the pricetag. Horowitz and Hill, right?

Yep, 2nd edition.  I specifically requested that it be second-hand and it is.  You can save quite a bit off of the high price tag that way.

My big Christmas gift this year was a nice turntable. Then I turned around the day after Christmas and bought a new guitar, A Reverend Sensei 290 in cream. It'll be my third (and definitely not my last) Rev. Love those things.

Sounds like a great haul! Love the looks of those Senseis. Never had a chance to see one in person.

Yeah, there was an eBay deal that was running that Sensei for 30% off. I couldn't pass it up.

I'm stoked for the turntable too!

For the moment anyways there's a second edition for $22 with resonable shipping (from New Delhi).

If my photos are missing again... they're hosted by photobucket... and as of 06/2017 being held hostage... to be continued?

That is the International softcover version.  I don't know if the content is identical or not.  It could be a great deal.  I wanted the hardcover version, though.

Got a TC Nova Tap and I like this thing! My only non DIY pedal besides a modded Boss SD-1.

@Lace

Looked up "The Elements" pedal. What is the jack for that is located on the side of the box? (next to the "S" in Elements)

Sorry... for some reason I cannot pull up the website right now  :-\

Lace I've loved every clip of that pedal that I've heard! It's a fantastic gainer. Saw the guts somewhere, double side pcb, look really complicated, nobody traced it so far. Would love to have one...What do you think of the pedal now after having trying it out for a few days?

Hi

PM'd in addition to this. Its a fantastic pedal. Its a 4 layer PCB, as I understand all of Ryans designs are.
I dont think it would be easy to trace. Having said that, Ryan is pretty friendly and answers peoples questions on how his shit works, and he has been pretty expressive in describing the building blocks and signal chain order through the topography of the pedal.

Id go so far as to say its the best overdrive/distortion pedal Ive experienced, by a long stretch. Its massively versatile and can replace a multitude of boxes. Its also harmonically the richest pedal I own - pinches and squeals are effortless, if thats your bag.

Added to that, the best customer service levels and imho some of the most beautiful finishes on any effect pedal make the Dr Scientist line as a whole something very special and worth the money.

Oh and to add to the Dr Scientist porn, this was kinda also part of the same deal.
