5n caps

I've been looking in all the normal places and I'm not seeing them.

Where are you guys getting 5n caps?

Personally, I'm using 4.7nF caps and assuming that there's a resistor I can alter somewhere to result in the same frequency cutoff. :)

Did you check Mouser?

Yeah, but they all have a really big tolerance or are relatively expensive.
I was hoping to get a little stash of tight tolerances.

I think the problem is that it's an obsolete value that was never much used in the US to begin with. :(

One could sort through their 3n3's and 1n5's and find two caps that get closer to a 5n than most 5n's will. I had to do a similar same thing to get a 3n9 for a tone stack. 3.8 IIRC and I don't think they make them that tight usually.
Don't mind the 100k's... small mistake at Tayda.

Just use 4n7. It's really not that far off.

Local store is where i get all my vintage and mojo stuff . But the only 5n caps I ve found so far are big old 3kv square d ceramic cap .
