Question to you who write instructions

Hi!

I'm about to write down a more detailed instruction for a box build, including offboard wiring (something fairly close to the MadBean standard wiring doc). For this, i need symbols for the offboard components: DC jack, in-and output jacks and 3pdt-switch. And pots.

I thought that the DIY layout creator whould be "the way to go" but that software dont include the offboard components (at least afais?). And EAGLE doesn't do this kind of layout either. So: my question to you who write instructions now and then: Is there a shortcut to those symbols / simple graphic stuff? How do you make it?

I could start from scratch and create all this in Inkscape or Corel Draw, but if theres a faster way ... ?

Any hints appreciated:)

Cheers

Do you want symbols or drawings of the actual component?  If drawings, use the Vectorpack http://www.ontheroadeffects.com/vectorpack/

Dang, you beat me to it. Yes, this is a supremely helful pack of drawings. Once you've laid out your parts, you just have to draw the wiring.

If you don't own Illustrator or Photoshop, you should be able to open .eps files with Gimp or Inkscape (Ghostscript is needed for both).

I use Inkscape to open that particular package, works great!
