Modded Hao Rust Drive

Juan got me into this layout...had never heard of that pedal before, listened to some clips and it seemed to be a versatile one knobber.

Vero layout is from IvIark with some cap value change suggested by the instigator, it normally uses Si clippers, but LED seemed to be favored...so i've put them on a On/Off/On for the added lifted option.....and it delivers the goods!

Will probably get a DIY pcb layout made for this.....totally worth it. :D

In the meanwhile if interested...

Intriguing... might have to try and work up a perf layout.

FWIW the 47n on the switch on IvIarks layout is wrong. It should be a 4n7 as it is on the one I've added the changes to. We had one in to repair a while back and confirmed it. The switch is an on-off-on BTW. The switch is really vol dependent. For example you only really ever use the 4n7 with the vol really high to tame the highs a bit. Anywhere else and it just turns it to mud.

The changes in red open it way up.

It's one of those simple pedals that just sounds really good. Well worth a build.

Two votes in favor of this circuit from chaps who ought to know..... Now I HAVE to build it.

Scrolled down & found out it was not a 1590a like I thought. That's my kinda knob! I've been interested in this circuit for a while, sounds like it's time to try it out. Great build, BTW, Death Star grey-on-grey looks cool!

Yeah, that knob fooled me, too.  I thought it was a 1590a at first.  Very nice work!

I think JimmyBJJ has a 1590a pcb layout for this one I've been meaning to build.  Seems like a nice sounding dirt pedal.

Which is bigger, that knob or that big ass sideways cap on the inside?
Pedal building is like the opposite of sex.  All the fun stuff happens before you get in the box.

He does, with board mounted pot too!  look about half way down the page but, the values may not be the same.
