Thank you Rob! On the LT1054, I am only putting 9v in but getting +/-18 volts out. I have done the same thing with a TC1044scpa with no problems.
You aren't doing the typical voltage doubler or negative voltage bit then. Are you doing something like Figure 24 from the LT1054 product sheet?

Yep, that's the one. I don't understand it, but it works.   ;D

Cool, I'll have to try that one out. It looks like it would be good for getting +/- 15V for some of those synth circuits. Thanks!

I found the layout on a Plexitone circuit that buck sears posted on the freestompboxes forum. It really is a great little circuit.

guys,i found an 18v inverter to be added.so this babe's gonna run in 9v adaptor,but 18v inside.i promise i'll post it soon. :D
thousand dollars pedal and DIY is a GAS. the diffrence is the voltage: plus and minus. :D

here's the schems for the voltage inverter...

That matches the Dual-Output voltage doubler circuit from the LT1054 spec sheet. The only difference I see is that the spec sheet version uses 1N4001 diodes. I've used 1N5817's with the LT1054 in their other example circuits and it has always been fine. It looks like a pretty slick circuit to use to me.

Yep. 4001 lower the output voltage much. but i still prefer this one because it's hard to find 5817 in my town. I've done layoutting in eagle but i'm not sure i'm doing right or not. here it is:

If the bipolar version from the LT1054 spec sheet also works with the TC1044SCPA then it is reasonable to assume it will also work with an ICL7660SCPA?

dunno for sure but i use 7660SCPA here... :)

here updated layout,

i use a trimmer for volume and gain pots. i almost never adjust that knob so i decided to change that.

I have layout that is redrawn plexituna layout, I did check it 3-4 times..
here it is if you want it

Cheers

whoa...thanks a lot brane. that's awesome. my latest post was 18volts 7660SCPA output so maybe lil bit diffrent there. it's not verified yet, but i'll try that soon...

You are welcome, I am pretty sure that layout is ok...
and whatever you do at the end give us results :D
Cheers

That's awesome! ...and I'm also slightly gutted as I yesterday populated a v1 boneyard to go into a a 1590B as a 3 knobber. That'd have been perfect for the job. Nev mind ;)
