A Porkbarrel I built for my wife.  Everything's stock except for the LFO mod.

My first try with alcohol inks.

That looks really tidy. Only thing... waterslide on the alcohol ink might have looked better than etched copper.

Is there a way to do that? I tried spraying alcohol inks with clear and as soon as they got wet they began to run together. Maybe I didn't wait long enough for them to dry.

I was thinking about eventually redoing the faceplate so it is primarily black with copper lettering. Be more dramatic. But that's for another day.

I'm only guessing because I haven't yet used alcohol inks but my experience with finishing woodworking projects leads me to believe that if you allow the alcohol inks to dry completely you should be able to clear coat (not water based) over them, then water slide decal, then more clear and it should be fine. 

Another thing woodworking has taught me... use sample boards to practice your finishing technique before trying it on the actual project.  Probably a good rule for pedals too, especially if you're trying something new.

Damn Bill, that looks great.

To me, that thing is screaming out for aluminum knobs, though.  The enclosure outclasses the stock Davies knobs.

Yep. Used that blue painters tape.

I love it! It's a very cool looking build and i like the painting and the copper plate
