I used some old ferric chloride etchant to do some copper PCBs.  Can I reuse the same etchant to do aluminum enclosures?  Do I need to keep them separate?

I do it, but my etches suck....I think it's best to have one batch for enclosures, and a septate batch for boards.

I have a bunch of spent enchant tgat I've used for both copper and aluminum and it has been working fine for etching aluminum enclosures lately. Bit sure how it would work for copper clad though....

I was wondering the same, but with muriatic acid + hydrogen peroxyde... anybody used it for both boards and enclosures with success?
