Hipster weird switching problems

Hi all. I have finished my hipster (first version) and I must say - IT SOUNDS AMAZING!!! So whats the problem? I can switch the effect on, sounds great, but when I switch it off the sound is dead! Just nothing! If I unplug my guitar cable from the amp and plug it back in, the sound is back! ?? Im lost as to why this happens. Anyone else had this problem?
