Want to build something that will get me close to the Marshall sound. I'm thinking Hendrix 'Wind cries Mary" or "Hey Joe" sound. Any help would be appreciated.

I really dig the Marshall-like sounds of the Runoff Groove Thor. Not a Hendrix expert so I'm not sure if it'll get that specific sound, but the Thor sounds Marshall to me.

The Thor is good, but I think the Catalinbread DLS is a bit more versatile. Brian discontinued the Grapevine PCB, which was a DLS clone, but you can still get the etched board from Haberdasher.

or you can build this one and tell me how it goes  before I try it...

if you are brave enough, you can build KMGs emulation of the Bogner Ectasy Preamp (I've heard the blue channel has plexi characteristics...).
