I wasn't blabbering that much about grounding as much I was about humming, and just...zZzzZZzzz noise. That's why I put my dc jacks really far from input/output and pots cause it minimizes this, from my experience at least. It would be so good having a sticky topic on good practice wiring in regards to specific types of effects and specific parts of those circuits.
For example, "don't put your Gain pot right next to the Input jack" etc...

I keep meaning to build this circuit, but...... but... i dunno, what am i waiting for? I've heard it really only likes humbuckers.... i wonder if it would be good with old p-90's?

Ch1naski: thanx man! I actually only have humbuckers on My two guitars (à xaviere lp with dimarzio super3, and an ibanez rg-something with original mics). But hopefully someone around here sits on The combo RAH-single coil as reference?

Cortexturizer: i think we talk about à dilemma on The same side of The coin really. To avoid hum n bzzz we need clever placement of stuff and proper grounding n shielding. Sometimes filtering too, but that should be covered in The circuit design. I surely could appreciate a sticky on that subject, as There  is both some black magic n Hands on experience out there:).
