Found a wine bottle cap fit just fine for the light shield if you use the alternative lamp listed in the BOM thats shorter.

Its fine with a regulated power supply. However, when i use some distortion i start getting some mild background swoosh.  Fine on a clean channel.  I might try the filter board and see how much difference there is.

Thanks. I used a standard height BB and it all fit quite easily.

The filter board is an optional snap off bit of the pcb.
