Small active tonestack? (for input filter of another circuit)

is there something akin to the BMP tonestack (like the one over at Beavis) that is active, with , say, an FET boost pushing a clean signal thru it? I guess it would actually be a buffer at the input (or output of the tonestack)?

trying to find something small that i can incorporate into an already built circuit, possibly on a piece of perf, that can borrow some power from the rest of the circuit, and keep the signal above unity, without too much distortion.

I'm not sure if this will work, but couldn't you just use the same idea as the BMP tonestack but just change the passive low and high pass filters to Sallen-Key active high and low pass filters (to try and keep the part count low).
So you would have your signal go into two sallen key active filters (one high pass one low pass) and have the outputs go into pin1 (lowpass) and pin3(highpass) of a pot and then the output is pin2.
It would be 1 dual opamp amp 4 resistors and 4 caps.
