I built this tiny monster based on the Uproar pedal (based on the Suhr Riot). The red LEDs are the clipping LEDs, which usually reside on the PCB; they glow with the dynamics of the input signal. I wanted a dirty looking surface, so the stained looks is intended (basically, I painted the whole thing and partly sanded the top of the case).

Is the monster silk screened on top?  And what are those cool washers?

I really like the look of this 8)

Rawr!  Excellent looking enclosure, I love the coppery washers... are those painted or for reals? :o :)

Those copper washers are for real. I found them in some box in the basement, they had dried out rubber glued to them. Given the state of the rubber, I assume that they are probably from the 70s. I found exactly three of those, lucky me ;-)

Great look to that finish.  Impressive.  It's a "polished" well done job with a rough look...umm you know?

Those chopper washers almost look like grommets one might use when repairing a tarp or making a vinyl sign. I may have to see if I can find some chopper ones next time I am at the hardware store.
