Pork Barrel 9V bias issue

I couldn't bias my pork barrel at 9V. I tried around 12V and it was easy then.

My question is, should i troubleshoot this and then what am i supposed to check or should i just stick a road rage in there because it just "sounds better"?

I got tired being out of luck and just built a road rage with a max1044cpa.
Tried the lfo blinking led mod and everything sounds just fine.
