Pulldown Resistor Question

Is there any way to utilize a DMM to test and try and determine where the pop voltage or current originates?

PS- was/am troubleshooting an fx loop box w clickless PSB that was popping loudly and so far have discovered that having all jacks grounded to one another caused a LOT of pop. Removing all ground wires removed most of the pop. Left DC jack, pcb, and LED grounded to input jack. Anyone ever put a resistor on the neg LED leg? Guessing.
