Capacitor question

Hey all,

I have a capacitor related question.  I'm currently building the Runt pedal.  For C9, (1uF...its the cap right before output), the schematic calls for a nonpolar cap but I was a dummy and ordered a polarized electrolytic one.  It's the right value and I'm wondering if it even matters that its polarized.  In other words, can I use the polarized cap in its place?

This is a relatively new hobby for me and I'm still learning about how these pedals/components work (this is my third pedal). I'd love to know why or why not doing this kind of cap replacement is possible.

Thanks a million!

Yes you can use a polarized cap - neg side goes toward the volume pot.

Thanks a lot! That is what I suspected.
