Hello I found this diagram as you can apply the rate led to mod smoothie?

Should work. On the Smoothie, just attach a wire on the underside of the PCB to pin7 of IC2B (or one of the components leading to it) and the the other end goes to the CLR and LED.

Ic pin 7  to wire to cathode or anode?

other LED wire to 3dpt post #1?

will that make any noise?

just need clarification

pin7 ~ resistor ~ ( led   led ] ~ ground or 3pdt

Same as a normal LED would be wired, except in this case you are utilizing the oscillating voltage from pin7 rather than the constant 9v supply on the anode.

thanks- wired pin and to 9v and got a ticking sound

Works now excellent thanks bean.
My switch is bad so I wired it to the board and ground so the light is turning on and off anytime it has power.

I thought of using a two-color LED so as to have the flash, even when off I have to work on but I think you could do some have tried such a thing?
The alternative would be to put 2 leds .... but I do not like so much ....

You use the switch to swap which anode is connected (put the pin 7 connection in the common pole and the anodes on the remaining poles in that row). The cathode is common and grounded all the time.

1 Anode 1
2 Board/pin7
3 Anode 2

the value of resistor 1k is good?
