I've had good luck throwing things in my pockets with keys/change.  Unless you wear "skinny jeans"    Then you'll have to opt for a bag of bolts or other goodies.

I used the Fuzz Face resistor calculator here, to set all the ones I made with those transistors, and despite different gains, they all sound the same and decay nicely.
That one needed a 35K R1, but the one in it is a 33K that measures 34K, close enough.

I've had much better results with this method, than using a trimmer on Q2.

Hey Rej, i don't know if it would work with aluminium, but i have used a cup of tea (no milk or sugar ) to age guitar knobs,works great, who knows, might work on aluminium.
