would these work well as signal isolation transformers?

found these while researching a project and was wondering if they would work well to eliminate ground loop hum when used as isolaters.

I am just starting to read up on transformers and would like someone with a little more wisdom on this stuff to chime in. I could definately use some of these from time to time (if they do what I think they will)
tried lifting weights once....they were too heavy!
