Reminds me of the Cymbals Eat Guitars/Small Sound Big Sound connection.

No big point I'm trying to make here or anything...just cool that there are more effects builders out there who grew up listening to the same music I did!

I think that's a taking a bit of license with the phrase "knows his way around". He certainly knows how to sell them, though.
