Are they suitable for builds - I see they are designed for applications where pulse type current draws are the norm e.g. pulse welders etc., is it just a extra measure of durability or are they unsuitable for steady current draw type applications?  Pardon my ignorance - new builder.
Thanks

afaik the only real difference is that if a pulse cap receives a large pulse(s) of current it is able to heal itself instead of the 2 halves fusing together and making a fubar.  other than that I think it's just a cap that should operate normally under pedal conditions.  at any rate, I've used some wima 1n pulse caps in a build and they worked fine.

someone please correct me if there is something else to it.

I hope you're right Keefe, because I bought a whole bunch of WIMA pulse caps in my first Mouser order last year. I'd sure like to be able to use 'em. :D
