Mangler volume a bit... Quiet?!

Hi hi!

Just messing around with transistors in my fuzz face.. Sounds awesome... just a bit quiet... Seems the same with whatever i put in it (bit better with silicon, but sounds bloody awful!). Im having to dime the volume to get just below unity...

Any ideas? or is this normal?!

It's normal. The Fuzz Face does not have a lot of output. You can increase the volume output some by changing the 470R resistor to 1k or 1k2. Most people just leave the volume knob all the way up.
