I just finished my loophole build and ran into an issue. The pedal has a very faint playback volume and it has a very high noise floor. Lots of hiss and static. I searched the forum and found a post similar to my issue and realized that the 7805 that is called for in the BOM and the 78L05 that I used have reverse pinouts. I flipped it around and the static and hiss go away bu then so does  the playback loop altogether. Did I fry my expensive recorder chip?

I am very confused as to the regulator after looking further into this issue. The BOM calls for 7805 but in Beans picture of his board in the build document it looks like a 78l05 just like I used. To confuse things even more I looked at the data sheet for the Isd1020ap and found the pinout to be different from the schematic???
What kind of voltages shouldok be seeing on the pins of the recorder chip? Please any help would be very appreciated.
