Howareyanow - Question for anyone that built out the DeadAstronaut Tremshifter... although I'm guessing this might apply to other similar lfo/vactrol cirtuits.

Just finished building one out and am really enjoying the unusual filter sounds you get with the tremolo. However the only problem (apart from blinding LED rate indicators) is the hum/buzz that I'm getting along with the rate of the tremolo. It does get quieter when you switch on the filter... more of a wooshy sort of sound there. Is there a way that I might be able to quiet that down a bit? I used a water clear 5mm blue for the Trem LFO in the vactrol, and a water clear green one for the Filter LFO. Not sure if perhaps using diffused LEDs would affect or not. It's almost like the hum you get with a flashing neon sign.

Thanks!

I know this is an old post but what the hell giving my 2 cents anyways hopefully you got it worked out by now
I unfortunately don't know why you are getting hum BUT I can tell you that using diffused LED's will lessen the effect as that's what I've got in mine and I get very very very little tremolo and no phasing at all just saying so you won't waste your time on that.
