The universe is definitely telling me that I shouldn't own the Worm, lol.    Lots of obstacles in this build. 

Anyways, I don't have 10V zener on hand.  Would it be okay to sub a 9.1V zener?? Should I just wait and order the 10Vs?

You can give it a shot, it may blow the zener if you happened to get a power surge. It's basically there as circuit protection from any dc power supply higher than 9.

I'm not sure with this one.  There's two 10V zeners.

You should have gotten two 10v Zeners with the board. In a little plastic baggie.
