hey guys, first feel free to move to the correct location of this post.

I'm thinking of making a buffered volume pedal, is it correct to do it this way?

I put the 250k potentiometer between the buffers. which potentiometer ideal for this circuit?

The 1k resistors at the input and output probably aren't necessary. Boss uses them as insurance against clipping the buffer, but you'd have to be sending a really hot signal for that to be a problem anyway. The 2.2M and the 100k bypass caps probably also aren't necessary. They're needed to prevent popping when an effect is switched in or out. Since a volume pedal is probably going to stay in the chain at all times, they can go. The bias network and power filtering look fine, but you might consider adding a 100nF cap in parallel to the 100uF for additional power filtering.

Best practice is to use low resistances when possible. 1M for the first VB to keep input impedance high, then 100k for the second VB. Up the cap values to 1uF to preserve the low end and use a 10K or 25K audio taper pot. This is "best practice", but you probably won't notice a difference in performance from your original values under most circumstances.

Pretty sure those resistors are to prevent issues with driving a capacitive load.
