Just a proof of concept.  Using a TPA3118, Lart's Simple Cabsim, and THCustom's Linedriver, and a 3 way splitter + separate buffer vero, we have a 60watt amp with passthrough, cabsimmed XLR output, and 60watts (sure...) into the cab of your choice...

I was wondering where the heatsink for the amp chip was, so I looked up the datasheet for the chip in question.

Up to 2x 30W 8ohm with no heatsinking. Used to be if you tried that, you'd lose your fingertips if you touched the bits of silicon doing the actual amplifying. Amazing what they can do these days.

Are you rolling your own TPA3118 amp or buying a PCB? I've been looking at this one for a very, very long time. It's always "Arriving Soon" looks great though. I've got 2 Celestion G12T-75's that I'd like to use for an amp build.

I just get them from eBay ready built.

These things are amazingly loud even on just 19v@4a.  If you have a look at my "A HUNDREDLOLWHAATS!?" you'll see the 100w version which is two of these under the heatsink, or something.  The one in this stays cool to the touch even after 2 hours of jamming with acoustic drums.

I've got a 150w version to stick in something, and another 2 of these ones to go in a JC120/Marshall pedal thing.  Should be fun.
