4k7 linear pots in place of 5k on zombii project

Hi guys
I'm building a zombii ff pedal and have a bunch of the 4k7 Lin pots lying around and was wondering if these would work in the zombii as a substitute for the 5k pots from the guide?

Also I've got diodes lying around 1 x 1n4001g and 1x1n4001s
Would I be right in saying the g and s stand for germanium and silicone ?

The pots are within the 5% tolerance so it should work.

I don't know about the diodes. Have you tried googling? Datasheets can tell you a lot.

They are both silicon. Both have the same specifics, so far as I can tell from a quick datasheet check. I think the ones I have are "S". I'm sure there is some minor difference, but considering these are used for polarity protection either will most likely work fine.
