I've always been really curious about this one, too. Never had the chance to play with one, so my only experience is listening to it on YouTube.

My best guess is that it's somewhat similar to the Big Muff.

The Swollen Pickle is a big muff.

The Fat Sandwich is a newer design.  I believe it uses a 4049 and maybe some discrete stages.

I've played a recent version and too was very disappointed with it. I'm sure the original ones (+$500) sound great!

I just got a used pork loin after selling off some other stuff.  It's a nice pedal.  I really like it.  I opened it up before I even played it.  It's way more complicated than I thought and there are a lot of surface mount components.  It's way beyond me to trace it, but I'll post a couple gut shots for you guys to gander at.  It is really well built.

everything surface mounted on the smaller board is for the relay bypass.

the main board has the effect circuit on it.
