XLR to unbalanced and back again- Grounds?

Looking at XLR +/-/G connections. The balanced/ unbalanced converter boards I'm using have spots for +/-/G on power and +/-/0v. I'm really not sure how to reference to +/- on the power jack. Anyone have any guidance?

Sounds like it may have phantom power? Just guessing. I believe phantom power has +v/-v/0v, pins 2/3/1 respectively. Pin 1 is also ground. Of course you have +audio/-audio/g, which again is pin 2/3/1.

I'm guessing the board you have expects a bipolar power supply. As in +/-12v, +/15v etc. Hence +,- and ground. Many electronics in the audio realm are like this except guitar pedals.
