Ever actually seen pictures of Paisley Park? (prince's studio, not a porn star)

I was expecting some small building in the back of his house or something, but, nope, it's the size of a frigging mall.

All that space and the vocals were still done in the control room. :P

I have a friend that is moving to the Twin Cities next month.  I told her this is a MUST when I come visit next year.

For some reason, I assumed "Paisley Park" was a porn star.  ;D

I live very close to this. Been to a handful of great shows and parties there.

I'm from there. They used to have parties every weekend at the compound before prince died.

You're not the only one.

Prince never interested me. Growing up, I heard Purple Rain a couple times (sounded like some old-people, lighters-in-the-air kinda thing to me at the time), saw a couple articles about a weirdo who people called TAFKAP, and left it at that.

Seems like a very legitimate and typical porn star name.

I knew him from back in the day when he still had that rivalry thing going with Michael Jackson, as to who was going to be crowned the King of Pop and the King of the Excentrics. It was like Rolling Stones fans versus Beatles fans. MJ won that rivalry easily, on both counts. Since he seemed relatively normal compared to MJ I preferred Prince. Plus the man could shred on the guitar. Looking at the pictures of his studio I can only dream of owning one that is only a tenth of his.

Paisley park was definitely a complex. Music FACTORY? maybe? Factory sized! Anyway I wonder if they are going to continue it's use as a studio? And more importantly (to me) where does his famous Linn Drum machine go? That thing should be in the smithsonian! Or at least the RnR hall of fame.
